The British Province of Carmelite Friars have communities across the UK and their website serves an international audience. Their static website held a wealth of material about the province, historical sites, current activity and academic, theological papers.
The new site uses CISMedia's Nucleus Content Management system. The system helps to organise the site content as well as making managing the site easier. Standard components such as the news and document management components enable the site to offer an up to date information resource.
Extension components such as bulk email and an events calendar make the new site an effective means of communication across the Province's communities and with its UK and international audience. A community directory, enhanced with a community map driven by Google Maps, provides an excellent resource for all users. The map not only provides a graphic illustration of Carmelite communities, it also provides details on each community and how to find it. Working with the events calendar the directory provides details of events in each community too.
